4AGE Silver Top or Black Top?



Recently, juz in love with toyota engines.....bcoz of 4 Throttle!! Normal cars only got 1 throttle....4 throttle means car got more power....then tambah 20v lagi.....very cun liao....Tune up the car propelly then can ready to race. lol.

What la, talk like wan to race only....chiiu...dun talk crap....

here is the Silver top Engine.....



The fourth-generation 4A-GE engine was produced from 1991
to 1995. It has silver cam covers with chrome lettering, hence the nick-name "silver top". This engine yet again features a completely revamped cylinder head which replaces the 16-valve design with a 20-valve design. The Toyota Variable Valve Timing (VVT) system is used on the intake cam for improved low-RPM torque and fuel economy, an increased compression ratio (10.5:1), the valve angle was decreased to 37.5 degrees from the previous 50 degrees and the intake system was replaced with a short manifold and four individual throttle bodies governed by an air flow sensor. Another large change from the previous 4A-GE engines was the intake port angle, w
hile the previous engines used an old-fashioned curved intake port, the 20-valve engines used a very upright straight port. This engine produces 160 PS (158 hp/118 kW) at 7400 rpm with 162 N·m (119 ft·lbf) at 5200 rpm of torque.


Black Top....

The fifth-generation 4A-GE engine produced from 1995 to 1998 is the final version of the 4A-GE engine and has black cam covers. This engine is fondly known as the "black top", and yet again features an even higher compression ratio (11:1), the air flow sensor is replaced with a MAP sensor, the diameter of the four individual throttle bodies was increased from 42 mm to 45 mm, the exhaust port diameter was increased, the intake cam lift was increased from 7.9 mm to 8.2 mm and the intake ports were significantly improved in shape, contour and also the width at opening at the head was increased. This revision increased the power to 165 PS (163 hp/121 kW) at 7800 rpm with 162 N·m (119 ft·lbf) at 5200 rpm of torque.

So, as u all can c, comparison between this two engine....blacktop is slightly powerfull.....but, silvertop can do more modification...For example when u added supercharger then UNOFFICIALLY become 4AGzE liao...hahahhaa...I got no info bout black top, but im sure blacktop DO serves their user well...can easily see the air flow with MAP sensor....i was surprise with this formulla: (MAP sensor de....)

or equivalently
(Engine Mass Airflow Rate) ≈ RPM × MAP / (absolute temperature)

i wonder how they could cipta such formula....

New Leg for monster.

Finally, i got thgs to write here. lol.

Recently i was so busy, until no time to blogging.
Anyway cut the crap.....here are some updates....

People says tat fast cars without good handling, prepare kena tapau by kancil. @.@
So, upgrade handling 1st, only go for car peformance......

Bought this new "toy" for my car. Sapura sport springs and shock absobers. (sorry, no pictures for the springs, test drive my car can ady =p)



After few weeks let it rotten, finally got the time to pasang it. On da same time my front standard abs oso got oil leak ady.......
Waited for so long to pasang it, approx 2 hours.












Ah Hong says my bushes and mounting need to change, bcoz kantoi ady. if not, it will damage the absobers quicker.

so, have to buy new 1 loh...


anyway, proceed to installation....abs pair up with springs....






then.....after tat, do wheel alignment and some mechanic joyride and its done!




After Pasang:

Front(b4): 4 fingers
NOW : 2 Fingers

Back(b4): 2 Fingers
NOW : 0 Fingers


Comfort: Not as comfort as Standard Shocks. Giv it sum times, it will reach to tat level.


Can take high speed cornering already..... 140kmh....wohoooo.........(Don't try this at home, only expert drivers like me can do tat. lol)
